Product Comparison: Designer fashion jewelry favorites, hoops edition
Impulse shopping doesn't always allow the opportunity to test out a product when you're buying online. Will these hoops drag my earlobes to the floor? What shade of gold is this fashion jewelry really? Is it worth the money?
First Impressions: NEED.
Unfortunately I say that with every item I fall in love with! If you love designer hoops, you had to have come across these two gems. I purchased the LV hoops sometime in 2021 (excuse scuffs you might see below) but came across the Versace hoops more recently. They reminded me of modern day door knockers and I couldn't resist. I tried to thoroughly review them to validate my spend, but couldn't find much, so here we are!
Size and Weight
Before making my online purchase, I asked Versace chat support about the weight of the earrings and the response was "they are light" *eye roll*. I used that as my green light to spend, but I think the internet is deserving of a more detailed review for shoppers like myself who are very particular.
First, I love love LOVE my LV earrings but they are definitely heavy. The Virtus hoops are definitely lighter, but the engineer in me couldn't help but to get a precise comparison.
...to only realize there is literally .01 pound difference between the two *whoops*
Price Points
The Louis Vuitton Louise Hoop GM earrings are $715.
The Versace Virtus Hoop Earrings are $525.
The Rating
Weight wise, the Virtus hoops are the winner for me. I will always love and continue to wear the LV Louise earrings, but the Versace Virtus hoops are definitely less common if you're looking for something popular but still unique.
